YHA New Zealand Has Chosen TravelDesk As Their Booking Platform
YHA New Zealand have announced that they have chosen the TravelDesk booking platform to streamline all travel sales processes and improve the customer experience for YHA NZ guests.
All 13 YHA NZ managed Hostels will migrate to the TravelDesk booking platform while Franchise and associate YHA NZ hostels will have the option to migrate their systems as part of a phased approach. With this new agreement, YHA NZ will be able to centralise their travel sales systems and operations across all properties and national office, saving their staff considerable time and reducing the risk of manual error by automating their daily processes.
By centralising their technology with Adventium, YHA NZ is able to connect their travel desk sales directly into their Property Management System (PMS) linking all sales for reconciliation directly into their accounting software. The new agreement also gives YHA NZ the ability to track all sales via the TravelDesk automated accounting processes, resulting in a complete reduction in the amount of supplier invoices required for reconciliation and payment.
YHA NZ place a huge value on their guest experience with this deal providing YHA a huge array of products with real time availability allowing YHA NZ staff to instantly book travel experiences for their guests.
The agreement will also provide many tour operators on WebsiteTravel – the global marketplace which houses the tour content for TravelDesk users – the opportunity to sell their products directly to the thousands of YHA NZ guests each year.
“YHA NZ has an ambitious growth plan and needs a strong technology partner who has the proven ability to automate systems to create efficiencies and financial savings,” said Selina Kelly Adventium Technology’s director of operations and strategic partnerships. “We are thrilled to partner with such a well-respected brand in NZ tourism.”
“TravelDesk is a great solution for accommodation providers who want to offer their guests a travel booking system as it is one of the country’s largest providers of tour operator product, improving customer service for guests while providing an additional revenue stream,” continued Adventium Technology’s CTO Jordan Digby.
YHA NZ will be migrated to the Adventium eco system as part of a detailed onboarding program where each property will be trained on the system.
“YHA New Zealand are delighted to be partnering with Adventium who are without doubt the market leader in their field. TravelDesk is a proven system that we are confident will deliver the outcomes we need” said Simon Cartwright, General Manager of Hostel Operations.
As one of the region’s leading travel technology solutions, WebsiteTravel is the engine room behind TravelDesk, housing over 20,000 regional tour products and processing hundreds of thousands of transactions a week. TravelDesk and WebsiteTravel were bought by Adventium Technology in 2018 when the system saw increased investment and an expanded team, including founding CTO of Viator Jordan Digby.
